Remove Uncategorised Category from WordPress Blogs

  • Go to Settings>Writing
  • Change the default category from Uncategorized to another category in use
  • Click Save

BONUS TIP – Delete UNCATEGORISED TYPE

  • Go to Posts>Categories
  • Check the box next to Uncategorized and click delete.
